Katsuni (real name Céline Tran and AKA Katsumi, Katzumi, Jayda, Atsumi, Belgazoo) is a former porn star active from 2001 until 2014. Born in Lyon, France, to a Vietnamese father and French mother, Katsuni started out studying political science, but quickly realized that wasn’t her bag. Switching to literature, she aspired to become a teacher. While studying she did some go-go dancing on the side and was spotted by a photographer working for Penthouse, who at that time was looking for actresses for its video line. Katsuni took the job, liked it, and jumped fully into porn. Since her retirement she’s studied chop–socky, which she’s put to use as she moved into mainstream films, written a few graphic novels and worked as a DJ among other things.
