Thuzar Wintlwin represented Burma at Miss Universe 2021.
“Candy” won the Best National Costume Award and held up a sign that said ‘Pray for Myanmar’. The military junta predictably and immediately announced an arrest warrant for her. As a result she will be staying in the US as a refugee, at least for the time being.
I noticed the scars on her chest and a little further reading revealed that when she was 19 she found both breasts had lumps that revealed they were heading towards cancer. She successfully had them removed but was left with the scars. I’m sure the brethren agree with us: we don’t see any scars.
