Jessica won the Asia Model Star Award at the 2018 Asia Model Festival in Korea, as a representative of the Philippines. What caused a little bit of a stir, at least in the Philippines, is that she’s Taiwanese. Jessica says “I’m not Filipino by blood, but in my heart, I am Filipino”. In these days of self identification that works. Actually, she’s lived in the Philippines for many years and got her start in modeling there in her college days. In addition to her modeling and influencing she also sings.
