Renée is a first-generation Filipina American and is afflicted with alopecia.
That’s a condition that can develop when your immune system gets out of whack and attacks your hair follicles causing hair loss.
Renée may lack hair but that’s all she lacks. Beautiful and brainy (she has a 4.0 GPA), she interns and does volunteer work, including building a nonprofit business.
